This remote is a “Universal NAD” remote that contains the codes for many different NAD products. It also uses the “Device Key” format first introduced on the HTR 2 and an expanded key set that allows for more functionality when compared with the previous Classic Series remotes. The form factor is similar to the Masters Series remotes providing a more elegant and ergonomic user experience. This universality also makes the SR 8 the perfect replacement remote for older units. You only need to stock one remote to cover almost all the remote controllable NAD products that have been sold.
